Jack Frost has been designing and installing event lighting across California for over three decades. We work directly with couples, wedding planners, venue coordinators, and corporate event teams — handling everything from an intimate backyard reception to a full corporate campus product launch.

We visit the site with you or your planner, understand the vision, and design lighting around the actual space — power access, mounting points, and sightlines included.
Coordinate & confirm
We work with your venue coordinator on load-in windows, provide COI and any documentation the venue requires, and lock the install schedule.
Install & test
Installed ahead of your event with time to spare, fully tested, cords hidden, and dimming levels set. We don’t hand over a space until it looks right.
Strike & remove
Full teardown after the event on the venue’s schedule. Nothing left behind, nothing for you or your family to deal with the next morning.

Most wedding and event venues require proof of insurance before a vendor can set foot on the property. We carry commercial-grade liability coverage and provide certificates of insurance and additional-insured endorsements on request — usually same-day.

How far in advance should we book event lighting?
For weddings, 4–6 months ahead is ideal — especially for peak season (May through October) and popular wine-country and Bay Area venues. Corporate events and grand openings can often be arranged with shorter notice depending on scope. If your date is close, call us anyway — we’ll tell you honestly whether we can do it justice.
Do you work with our wedding planner and venue?
Yes — and we prefer it. We coordinate directly with planners and venue coordinators on load-in windows, power access, mounting restrictions, and teardown timing. We’ve worked alongside planners, caterers, florists, DJs, and rental companies for 32 years, and we know how to stay in our lane on a busy setup day.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our venue?
Yes. Most wedding and event venues require proof of insurance before a vendor can work on-site. We carry commercial-grade liability coverage and provide certificates of insurance and additional-insured endorsements on request, usually the same day you ask.
What does event lighting cost?
Event lighting is quoted per event rather than off a price list, because scope varies enormously — a bistro canopy over a backyard dance floor is a very different project from full venue lighting with monograms, tent draping, and pathway design. Venue size, install window, and single vs multi-day setup all factor in. We’ll give you a fixed quote after a consultation.
What happens if something stops working during the event?
We install with backup planning built in — redundant circuits where possible, tested connections, and secured runs so nothing gets kicked loose. For larger events we can arrange on-site coverage during the event itself. If something does go wrong, you have a direct number to reach us, not a general voicemail.
Do you handle outdoor events and weather concerns?
Yes. All our event lighting is commercial-grade and weather-rated for outdoor use — including venues in the mountains like Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad that face changing conditions. For outdoor weddings we plan mounting and cable routing with weather in mind, and we’ll talk through contingencies with you and your planner during the site walk.
